PDO threads, also known as polydioxanone threads, are biodegradable sutures that are used in aesthetic medicine to treat various concerns related to skin aging and sagging. These threads are made from a synthetic material called polydioxanone, which has been used in surgical procedures for many years due to its safety and biocompatibility.

 

PDO threads work by lifting and tightening the skin, promoting collagen production, and stimulating tissue regeneration. The threads are inserted into the skin using a fine needle or cannula, and once in place, they provide support and structure to the treated area. Over time, the threads stimulate the production of collagen, which helps to improve the skin's elasticity and firmness.

 

PDO threads can be used to address a wide range of aesthetic concerns, including sagging skin on the face, neck, and body, jawline definition, brow lifting, lip enhancement, and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment is usually performed as an outpatient procedure.
